Two Up and Running stores in the north of England will showcase the benefits of natural running this month. The free sessions, which take place on 17 July and 24 July, will be held by an Asics technical representative at Chester and Leeds.
Natural running, whether in a minimal shoe or no shoes at all, is becoming increasingly popular and is believed to reduce the risk of injury. Making the switch, however, from cushioned trainers to minimalist footwear can be a tricky transition for many runners.
The Up and Running event will allow attendees the opportunity to try out a pair of Asics natural running shoes for a short run. Afterwards, the Asics representative will hold a Q&A and feedback session to cover any queries about natural running.
The first event takes place at the Chester (25 Bridge Street) on Wednesday 17 July from 5:30-7:30, followed by Leeds (Boar Lane) on Wednesday 24 July, 5:30-7:30. More information is available on the Up and Running events page.
