Now in its 37th year, the Great Cumbrian Run returns to the Sheepmount Athletics Stadium for both the start and the finish of this iconic local event.
The race route will take runners past the historic Carlisle Castle and into the city before heading out into the countryside. Taking in the picturesque villages of Cumwhinton, Weatheral and Scotby before returning to pass the Cenotaph in Rickerby Park, and go through Bitts Park and on to the finish on the track at The Sheepmount.
The date for your diary is Sunday 7 October.
There will also be a Family Fun Run taking place on Saturday 6 October. This is a 1.5 mile untimed run which is all about fun and getting the kids involved so why not use it as a gentle warm-up for Sunday's main event. ENTER HERE.
