Accelerate is hosting a training workshop to assist runners in three of the main components of racing: hills, speed, and endurance. The day-long event, scheduled for Saturday 18 April, will take place at Hope Sports Club and Hope and Lose Hill.
The objective of the workshop is to introduce attendees to the fundamental principles of good running form, how to achieve free running speed and how to use the principles to make hill running more efficient.
Following the session, participants will have been able to watch themselves on video and to understand how running drills will assist your running form and what you need to work on. The workshop will be run by, Colin Papworth (podiatrist), Stuart Hale (coach), and Marcus Scotney (GB runner, sports therapist and coach).
All drills will be conducted at your own pace and the hill run will be done at the pace of the slowest group member. Snacks, and tea/coffee will be provided although participants will need to bring drinks and food and suitable clothing for the hill run.
