Pacers from Shelton Striders will help runners achieve their PB’s at the Derby Ramathon. An intrepid team of 18 of experienced runners, will don bright pink T-shirtsand cater for all finishing times from 1:40 to 2:20. Acting as a motivating force for those looking to finish as well as runners with a target time, they will be a welcome sight at this year’s race.
The Derby Ramathon is a popular event, starting at 9.30am on Sunday 4 June. 5,000 places are on offer and an iconic medal and technical T-shirt for all finishers plus a start and finish at Pride Park Stadium, the home of Derby County FC. The fast, flat course is another attraction with its PB-potential and the event is one of eight races in the RunDerby series.
There is a Business Team Run for companies as part of the half marathon and the Mini Ramathon, a two-mile fun run for children and families who have the opportunity to compete alongside Derby County FC’s mascot ‘Rammie’.
Derby County FC is the official race partner for a third year and one of several sponsors lending their support to this event. MacMillan Cancer East Midlands is the headline charity, also for a third year, and hoping to boost their total of more than £54,000 raised over the past two years.
There are prizes for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th male and female; age category winners, first affiliated team and first, second and third teams in the Business Run.
