Looking to take part in the Tour of Tameside but don’t fancy tackling the full four days? No problem, now you can take advantage of individual entries for each of the races. The event returned last year after an absence of more than a decade, and due to such an overwhelming response to the 2015 races, organisers extended the tour to four events, which will run from Thursday 16 June to Sunday 19 June.
Race organisers Sports Tours International reintroduced the new version of the Tour which was founded by marathon legend Ron Hill in 1983. The much-loved Tour returned with a bang in 2015 with more than 500 runners taking part.
The tour now comprises of the Cross Trail 10K on 16 June, which takes in Daisy Nook and Park Bridge Country Parks and is said to be a fairly testing course. This is followed by a six-mile fell run at Copley Leisure Centre in Stalybridge before the High Peak Half Marathon, which is run along the Longendale trail, and finishing with the Hyde 7 on Sunday.
Entries for the individual races are available here.
