Ahead of the Bupa Great Manchester Run, event organisers are offering runners the opportunity of a lunchtime 5k with James Cracknell. The Olympic gold medallist, who recently completed the Virgin London Marathon in under 3 hours, will be hosting the Bupa Flash Run in Salford.
Cracknell, who won gold at Sydney and Athens as part of the coxless fours, will be hosting the 5k run on Wednesday (May 16). Introduced last October, the Flash Run has become a popular event in the popular Bupa series and encourages runners to get active during their lunch hour.
The upcoming Flash Run is a free event and will take place at the Salford Quays. In addition to the 5k, Bupa sports physios will be on hand to offer any running tips and advice about aches, pains or injuries.
