Any runners considering taking part in this Sunday’s (6 March) Jones o Gymru Anglesey Half Marathon are reminded entries for the race close tomorrow (Wednesday 2 March). Entry fee for the half marathon – known as one of the most unique and attractive event on the UK circuit – is priced at just £28.00
With a start point on the iconic Menai Suspension Bridge on the beautiful island of Anglesey, the race sees runners move along the gorgeous Menai Strait coastline all the way up to Beaumaris with Snowdonia as a dramatic backdrop.
Organised by Always Aim High Events, the event is often referred to as being the UK’s most beautiful half marathon and is perfect pre-London and Manchester marathon preparation.
Even with an undulating route, the course is known to be quick – current course record stands at 67:23 – so PB hunters shouldn’t be disheartened. The day’s festivities also include staging of the Dragon’s Dash junior races plus family entertainment throughout the day.
