Ahead of the 2019 staging of the race on Sunday 10 March, the BTR Liverpool Half Marathon has received a big boost with news that it has been shortlisted in the Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards.
The half has been nominate in the Small Event of the Year category, and organisers are inviting previous participants to let them know what makes the half special for them. Keeping the half company in its category is Aurora, Bordeaux Wine Festival and St. George’s Hall Minton Floor Tile Reveal.
The next BTR Liverpool Half Marathon and 10 mile event is just around the corner (Sunday 10 March), with 6,000 plus runners preparing for what is the city’s oldest established road race.
With such an iconic start and finish on a UNESCO World Heritage site at the Pier Head, the half offers a fascinating mix of city centre, waterfront and parkland as a stunning backdrop.
The incredible course showcases the city set against the Three Graces – the Royal Liver Building, Cunard Building, and Port Of Liverpool Building. The course featured some of Liverpool’s most famous sights including Liverpool Anglican Cathedral, Princes Park, Sefton Park, Otterspool Promenade, Albert Dock Liverpool, and Museum Of Liverpool.
