They say there’s no such thing as a free lunch but runners in Derbyshire can take advantage of a free trail event this Sunday (12 October). Organised by Jog Derbyshire and the National Trust, the Longshaw EstateTrail Run is free for all participants, with options of a 3 or 1.6 mile course available.
Having been staged four times already this year, the run has established a reputation as offering a friendly and fun introduction to trail running in an extremely picturesque setting. Participants can meet up afterwards with fellow Jog Derbyshire members, friends and family in the National Trust café (open from 9am) and enjoy a special 20% off discount.
Children can take part if they are accompanied by an adult who is registered as a Jog Derbyshire member. Dogs are also allowed but must be kept on leads. Subsequent events have also been scheduled for 9 November and 7 December.
