England Athletics has announced that the UKFast City of Salford 10K will count as a masters qualifier for 2020. The Salford race joins two others, the Telford and Chichester 10Ks, as the qualifying opportunities for the England Athletics Masters Final in May.
The UKFast City of Salford 10K is a standout fixture in the North West race calendar. Over the past few years, it has consistently pulled in fields of 3,000 plus and the upcoming race, scheduled for Sunday 8 September, is on target to equal that.

The impressive route then progresses around Salford Quays and Trafford Park before crossing the bridge back into MediaCityUK to the finish line.
The qualifying opportunities at the Salford race means that the top three male and top three female eligible runners in each five-year age band at each of the qualifying races will be selected to represent England in Spring of 2020.
A full breakdown of the qualifying times is available at the England Athletics website, V35 male runners will be required to put in a 33:45 or less, with female participants looking to be under 40:30.
