The World Marathon Challenge - a Third World charity event open to adults and children - is now open. The annual event will take place anytime, anyplace between 16 and 23 October to help raise money for young people in the world's poorest countries...
The challenge is for teams to come together and try and beat the world marathon records held by Paula Radcliffe (2:15:25) and Patrick Makau (2:03:38) by running the distance as a relay.
Britain's Radcliffe says: "The World Marathon Challenge is a brilliant opportunity to show children just how much fun running can be, while raising money for a hugely important cause."
By registering for the World Marathon Challenge, each team will receive an event kit packed with information and resources to help organise the event and some fundraising tips. For full event information, visit the website.
