midlandsrunningguide.com Now Live

Haile Gebrselassie at the Great Birmingham Run

Great news for runners across the Midlands from Stoke to Northampton, Lincoln to Cheltenham as MIDLANDS RUNNING GUIDE and midlandsrunningguide. com are launched.  You'll have to wait another month or so for our brilliant 96 page free magazine (our first edition - Autumn is available on 28 August) but as you can see the website is now up and running.

As with our sister sites - southernrunningguide.com, northernrunningguide.com and scottishrunningguide.com - midlandsrunningguide.com aims to provide its readers with running related news, race information and advice, all specific to the Midlands.

As with our other sites, we are keen to hear your stories. While we follow the progress of elite athletes, we retain a commitment to the 'everyday' runner: the one who has completed their first 10k, fallen in love with parkrun or is fundraising in memory of a loved one.  If you are a race organiser or a club official or someone with an interesting running story, let us know.

One of midlandsrunningguide.com main aims is to provide a comprehensive regional race listing. If you are a local race organiser, sign-up and post details of your event - it's 'easy-to-use', free and a great way to promote your race.  The race listing will build quickly into a key resource for Midlands runners.

As well as daily news and race details and results, we'll also be posting regular articles on training, nutrition, staying injury-free and running for charity. Our team has a nice blend of running experience, catering for the first time parkrunner or the ultra-in-the-wings. Regular contributor Chris Broadbent rounds off our news week with 'runtalk', an engaging piece that takes a discursive look at all things running.

Join us at midlandsrunningguide.com, on Facebook and Twitter (@MidRunGuide) and keep bang up-to-date with the Midlands running scene.
