Next month sees the return of Leeds' parkrun club challenge, the Mob Run. The challenge involves clubs across the region coming head-to-head on 17 May to see who can record the highest turnout and quickest number of runners.
The upcoming event will be hosted at Roundhay parkrun and organisers are hopeful they will be able to match last year's record attendance. The 2013 challenge saw Valley Striders strike the highest attendance (41 runners) while the fastest club was Barnsley AC.
parkrun organises free, weekly, 5k timed runs across the world. For anyone interested in taking part, a Facebook page has been set up.
