As summer fades runners in the north of England can look ahead to a number of eye-catching autumn events including the arrival, via Australia and South America, of the Neon Run UK. The two date series - Leeds on Saturday 18 October and Sunderland Saturday 25 October- was given a recent boost with news that ASICS UK is the new title sponsor.

Neon Run is a 5k nighttime spectacular with four unique on-course neon zones of rock, disco, pop and iconic British music featuring lasers, black lights, strobes, dancers, and DJs to keep you entertained along the route. Neon Runs in other countries attract more than 10,000 people to each event.  Now the event is set to light up the UK with this innovative mix of fun run and dance party.

Race organisers Sport 3 Management said the partnership with ASICS is great news for the event: “Our participant experience is always our number one priority so it's fantastic to have ASICS join us in developing these brilliant mass participation events. Every participant has the opportunity to create their own Neon look and with the footwear and apparel range on offer from ASICS, the thousands of participants will definitely live up to our hash tag #Lightupthenight."

Entries for Neon Run UK are now open at the event website. Participants can enter as individuals or as part of a team of four or more friends and family. Teams of four or more registering together receive a 10% discount on entry fees. Due to the popularity of Neon Run events, participants are encouraged to enter immediately to secure a place.
