Big Chance For Big Apple

NYC RunnerAnyone who missed out on a place to this year’s New York Marathon can get guaranteed entry from travel specialists Sports Tours International. 50,000 runners will take part in the 47th edition of the race on 6 November.

Sports Tours International say to anyone interested in taking part: “Whether this is your very first marathon or one of many, do it with a bang and soak in the atmosphere of two million people cheering you along the way in one of the World’s most greatest cities. For nearly 40 years we have taken thousands of runners to the Big Apple to experience the thrill of the New York City Marathon and we look forward to welcoming you too!”

The race begins on the Verrazano Narrows Bridge and moves through four more boroughs. The first stop over the bridge is Brooklyn, New York's most populous borough, where the race continues past the buildings and buzz of Queens and the Bronx, before reaching the exhilarating crowds in Manhattan. Central Park provides the setting for the last 1.6 miles of the course where spectators gather to watch participants take their last few strides to the finish.
