An inspirational runner is aiming to become a world record holder by completing a gruelling 63 marathons in 63 days – taking in some of the most spectacular sights of the British Isles along the way. Nikki Love aims to break the world record of most consecutive days running a marathon distance by a woman.
Nikki’s challenge began on Sunday (27 August) and will run to 28 October. Her journey will take her from John O'Groats down to Lands End, before making her way back up to finish in her home town of Leicester. Her aim, as she criss-crosses the country, is to have as many runners as possible join her, including 63 people who are marathon newbies.
The majority of Nikki’s marathon attempts will be running circular routes, finishing off each day where she started in order to make it easier for other runners to join her.
Nikki is running to raise awareness of the degenerative genetic condition Huntington's Disease and stresses that she would appreciate any support possible during her record attempt, whether it be joining her on a run, cheering her on, promotion or sponsorship.
