An undulating multi-terrain race, set in the beautiful Crimple Valley, is coming to Harrogate for the first time this summer. The Run Harrogate 10K, scheduled for Sunday 1 July, has been designed to suit all levels of runner and will appeal to both runners planning their first race and to seasoned club runners looking for a new challenge.
Organised by Harrogate Harriers and AC, the course is said to be around 80% road with a good proportion of this traffic free. The remains will take runners through a meadow leading into a wooded area.
Chairman and race director Tony Essex told runABC North: “The race has a truly beautiful setting at Crimple Valley on the edge of Harrogate. HQ is based at The Harrogate Squash & Fitness Centre where there also be a BBQ and a bouncy castle, key elements into what will make this a social event too.”
Tony added: “We are really excited about the first staging of the Run Harrogate 10K and have high expectations for the coming years. Entry is set at 500 for the upcoming race and we will be happy to accept registration on the day if places are still available.”
Entries for the Run Harrogate 10K remain open and are priced at just £15 (or £13 for affiliated runners). Registration is available here.
