Entries for the 2015 RAMathon Half Marathon in Derby will open on Saturday 25 October, with organisers looking to build on the success of this year’s event. The half marathon made a much anticipated return this year and 4000 places have been made available for the next edition of the race. Starting and finishing at the iPro Stadium, runners will be able to enjoy a newly designed 13.1 mile course, which will still include the villages of Shardlow, Ambaston, Elvaston and the Castle Grounds.
In addition to the revised route, organisers revealed Central Health Network as headline sponsor for 2015. The Derby-based healthcare specialists provide national award winning physiotherapy, osteopathy and podiatry from clinics across the East Midlands, whilst also delivering a comprehensive range of occupational health services to employers of all sizes to promote, improve and maintain wellbeing in the workplace.
Richard Kay, RAMathon race director says “We are very pleased to be working with Kevin and his team at Central Health. The Synergy between us is excellent for the event and entrants, who over the coming year can benefit from the first class health services provided by Central that are essential to keep runners fit and healthy to run the RAMathon”
"We will kick start both events by opening entries on Saturday 25 October at 3pm At Derby County's home match against Wigan at the Ipro Stadium.
