The most recent addition to the Rat Race portfolio looks set to be its most challenging yet with organisers devising a 20 mile course containing 200 obstacles. Billed as the 'largest assault course on earth', the event has been evocatively named, 'Dirty Weekend'.
Organised for 11 May next year, the event takes place in one of England's finest stately homes, Burghley House. The assault course is split into 20 themed zones, with competitors likely to face obstacles constructed from timber, rock, girders, and of course, a barrage of mud.
For anyone interested in taking part, there is the option of either a Full Mucker (20 miles) or Half Mucker (13 miles). For more information, visit the Rat Race website.
