Nottingham will welcome what will be the city’s 36th half marathon on Sunday 25 September, 2016, with confirmation that entries for the race, and accompanying marathon and mini marathon events, are now open. Organisers are anticipating a total field of over 12,000 runners to take part.
This year saw competitors tackle a new course, which has been modified to include more of Nottingham’s landmarks, including the city’s medieval castle and the university Jubilee campus.
As the race looks to continue to build its status, organiser, Sweatshop and Nottingham City Council have been working hard to develop new and improved features for 2016.
Judith Manson, race director comments: “We had great feedback on the new-look course and we’re dedicated to ensuring the 2016 event is even better. Once all is revealed we know runners will be as excited as we are!”
Those considering taking part in the Ikano Robin Hood Half Marathon can take advantage of early bird entry fees, which remain the same as 2015 and close on 31 January. More information on which is available here.
