Roundhay parkrun will have a distinctively Gallic feel this weekend with runners encouraged to don their most fetching French attire in recognition of Bastille Day. As part of the day's festivities, organisers have promised a prize for the best-dressed French looking person.
Located in Roundhay Park, Leeds, the course consists of three scenic laps on concrete paths. This weekend will be Roundhay's 62nd event since being established on April 23 last year. The current male record holder is James Smith, who posted 15:34 in November 2011, whilst Charlotte Wills boasts the fastest time by a female with 18:35.
If you are interested in attending The French Run, organisers have set up a facebook event page with directions to get to the course.
