Those completing any of Run For All’s Yorkshire events will be treated on the finish line with a crisp and refreshing Erdinger, alcohol-free that is. In a partnership announced earlier this week, Erdinger Alkoholfrei will be the official recovery drink of the Yorkshire Marathon, Yorkshire 10 Mile, Leeds Half Marathon and Yorkshire Half Marathon-Sheffield in 2017.
Brewed under strict Bavarian purity laws, the German brewed isotonic beverage is already a favourite amongst social athletes and has already proven to be a hit in 350 mass participation events across Europe. News of the partnership will be a welcome boost to the Plusnet Yorkshire Marathon Series – and the Run For All team in general– as the 2017 season starts to gather pace.
Run For All’s Siobhan Curtis commented on the arrangement: “We are delighted to be linking up with Erdinger Alkoholfrei to be the official recovery drink for the four events that make up the Plusnet Yorkshire Marathon Series.”
The prospect of a crisp Erdinger, Siobhan believes, will act as a further incentive to hit the finish line: “It will be a great way for runners to celebrate their achievement and quench their thirst at the same time. We’re sure the thought of a cold drink at the finish will help encourage people around the course!”
