Run Like The Wind In Chicago

Missing out in the ballot doesn’t have to mean the end of your hopes of taking your place in the 2018 Bank of America Chicago Marathon. One of the six marathon majors, Chicago is a pinnacle of achievement for elite athletes and everyday runners alike.

As an Official International Travel Partner (ITP) of the Bank of Chicago Marathon, Sports Tours International can offer you a guaranteed entry to the 2018 Bank of Chicago Marathon when you purchase one of their travel packages.

Runners from all 50 states and more than 100 countries will set out to accomplish a personal dream by reaching the finish line in Grant Park.

The ‘windy city’ is one of the largest cities in the United States and is well known for its bold architecture, bristling skyscraper skyline and iconic landmarks, such as the Tribune Tower and the John Hancock Center. Renowned for its art galleries and museums, the city is bursting with things to keep you busy.

The 2017 edition, in which almost 45,000 runners took part saw Galen Rupp, 31, became the first American man in 15 years to win the Chicago Marathon. He ran a personal record of 2:09:20 to edge out 2016 winner Abel Kirui of Kenya who finished second in 2:09:48 and Bernard Kipyego, also of Kenya, who took third in 2:10:23.

The fastest time in the marathon was set in 2013 when Dennis Kimetto clocked 2:03:45, while Paula Radcliffe boasts the fastest women’s time with 2:17:18.
