British Heart Foundation (BHF), organiser of Chase the Pud Sheffield, has announced that the event on Sunday 11 December, has been cancelled. Competitors have been informed of the decision and offered a full refund and are also being given the option of transferring their registration to the Chase the Pud events held in York and Doncaster on Sunday 4 December.
BHF's Chrish Perera siad: “We are sorry to announce that the BHF has had to cancel its much-loved Chase the Pud event in Sheffield this year. This decision has not been made lightly, but we have to ensure that our fundraising events raise as much money as possible for us to invest into our life saving research.
Chrish added: “Unfortunately, after careful thought, we have concluded that this event won’t meet the participant numbers or raise the money we need to justify our investment. We understand this news may be disappointing to our supporters and we would like to thank everyone who signed up to help support our vital work.”
Anyone looking to get into the festive spirit early, raise money for charity and are interested in chasing a Christmas pudding are being encouraged to sign-up for the events in Doncaster and York. Both are scheduled for Sunday 4 December and cost just £10 for advanced registration. More information is available at the BHF website.
