On the back of Sunday’s event which drew in a field of over 4,000 runners, organisers of the Vitality Liverpool Half Marathon have already put into motion preparations for what will be their silver anniversary race on Sunday 25 March 2018.
To mark their 25th year, prospective entrants are being given the opportunity to register for just £25, while UK affiliated club entries are priced at £23. This offer will be available until Friday 28 April – 25 days after registration officially opened for the race.
The reduced price registration is likely to result in a flurry of early entries for what will be a day of celebrations across Merseyside. Now part of the Vitality Run Series, the half marathon is regarded as one of the key events in the north-west.
Throughout the years, one of the race’s big attractions has been the brilliant course, which takes in the Albert Dock, Museum of Liverpool, Liverpool Cathedral and Sefton Park Palm House, and features a three-mile home straight along Otterspool Promenade back to the finish at the iconic Pier Head.
