The build-up to Halloween continued yesterday (Sunday 29 October) at Heaton Park with the inaugural Dreams Come True Halloween Fun Run. Over 450 runners and spectators dressed in spooky costumes were welcomed by organisers Sports Tours International.
Kevin Harmer of Sports Tours International told runABC North: "We are delighted with the feedback from those who took part, with so many people from Manchester and beyond coming together in support of the Dreams Come True Charity and helping us to celebrate Halloween.”
The Dreams Come True Halloween Fun Run route took runners on a course which showcased all of Heaton Park’s most interesting and spooky spaces. Participants gathered pre-start at the ‘Safe’ zone before going through the Zombie Zone, Spooky Band, Ghost Tunnel and Haunted House, which collectively tested runners of all ability levels.
Martin Neal at Dreams Come True said; “The Dreams Come True Charity would like to thank the hundreds of runners and their families who joined us for the fun run. The event was a great success and will provide vital funds to support us to help Dreams Come True for people in the UK. We look forward to meeting more inspirational and spooky runners in 2018.”
