Race organisers Sports Tours International have made it to the final round of voting in three separate categories at next year’s Running Awards. The nominees have been shortlisted from over 2,000 brands, events, publications and sports retailers with a total of 36,000 votes being cast.
Next year’s event will take place at indigo at The O2 in London on Friday 24 April and is the only independent annual awards ceremony recognising and celebrating the best of running and its culture.
The Sports Tours events to progress are Decathlon City of Salford 10K (best 10K), Tour of Tameside (best new event) and Tour of Tameside (best endurance event). Chris Bird, chief executive of Sports Tours International commented: “We are so pleased that we have been short-listed and in three categories.
“It is even more pleasing that these votes are from those runners that use our services. It is our aim to ensure that whatever event or service we are providing that we deliver a professional service to our clients and judging by the votes we have received our clients are happy with our performance.”
The second stage of voting remains open until 22 March and all votes are cumulative. To vote for Sports Tours International visit the Running Awards website here.
