Marathon Talk has once again sounded a rallying call to runners with their motivational log, Jantastic. The challenge, which pretty much negates any need for you to make a New Year's Resolution, is aimed at keeping training on track throughout January to March.

Much in the mould of festive challenges such as Marcothon (31 runs in December and currently in play), Jantastic allows participants to track the progress and send messages of support to other runners. To introduce a competitive element to proceedings you can also select 'rivals,' which pits your stats against runners with similar goals.

January is about setting a target number of weekly runs, February is about adding some distance and March is about targeting a race, parkrun or timed training run.
