Following the successful introduction of the Corporate Challenge at the JCP Swansea Half Marathon in 2015, organisers are predicting more local (and not-so-local) companies and organisations will be involved.
HMT Sancta Maria will be back to defend their title while event sponsors JCP Solicitors are planning to field a strong contingent. Corporate teams consist of between five to 50 runners, and the team with the fastest combined team time (average time of the top five fastest finishers) will win the Corporate Challenge Champions title.
Race director David Martin-Jewell believes the Corporate Challenge is a brilliant staff development opportunity as well as being lots of fun. He told runABC: "We are delighted to be bringing back the Corporate Challenge for 2016. The challenge was a hugely popular innovation this year and the feedback we received from participating businesses was fantastic.
"We are aiming to build on its success for 2016 and we would encourage as many companies as possible from the Swansea Bay region and beyond to get involved. This is the perfect team building experience from the moment of registration right through to race day, the journey a team can make is incredible.”
