Yorkshire’s very own ChocAthlon returns next month in what is sure to be an event that is a big hit for the sweet-toothed runner. The run is every bit as delicious as it sounds, with chocolate feed stations sprinkled liberally around the 9k course.
Scheduled for Saturday 6 April, the ChocAthlon comes from Team OA, who are also behind a number of food and drink inspired events. They also organise the PieAthlon and the PizzaAthlon, CakeAthlon and Aleathlon.
The undulating 9k course, which is set in Marsden, Huddersfield, will take competitors on an undulating route that includes roads, tracks and trails. A ChocAthlon mini, which covers 5k, runs alongside the 9k event.
There will be prizes up for grabs for the top trio of performers, the best team name and the best fancy dress. Entries for the upcoming ChocAthlon remain open and are priced at just £15 until 3 April.
In addition, organisers are offering free entry for the 2020 staging for anyone who is able to join this year’s marshal or support team, just get in touch with Team OA here.
