While parkrun prides itself on being an entirely non-competitive operation, there's nothing quite like a bit of friendly rivalry to spice up a Saturday morning. This year, Temple Newsam will host 'Mob Run', a challenge for clubs across the region to see who can record the highest turnout and quickest number of runners.
Scheduled for 25 May, the annual event has been a great way for the region's runners to come together for a bit of inter-club fun. Last year, Hyde Park Harriers claimed the most parkrunners, with City of Leeds boasting the fastest average pace. The course takes passes through the Temple Newsam Estate, with runners taking on a fairly flat, two lap course.
Organisers have set up a Facebook page for anyone looking to take part.
