After the success of last year’s opening event, specialist retailer Up and Running has confirmed they will once again be hosting NightRuns this winter. The series is designed for runners of all abilities and for those who want to maintain their fitness levels through the dark nights.
With Up and Running joining forces with Silverpoint and Silva, participants can borrow head torches so they can make their way through parkland. While dates have been confirmed over the coming months, a number of additional events will be scheduled.
Up and Running’s Jonathan Midwood said: “We are also aiming to keep up everyone’s training throughout the winter months and as a result maintain their health and fitness. We are encouraging all types of people ranging from keen competitive athletes to novice runners and we are looking to support this with additional in store events over the period.
Jonathan said the events will act as a great way for maintaining training throughout the winter months: “We know, having done this last year, that regular training is great for runners and anything that keeps them motivated is particularly well received. Especially if it is fun.”
