Run North West - Specialist Running Store

One of the most important elements of our sport from recreational runners to elites is the right advice. We've all experienced advice that can be at best patchy or at worst, just plain wrong.

Specialist running retailer Run North West on the old Sweatshop site in Hyde wants to highlight the importance of good advice before you make that all important purchase and they've assembled a team of professionals to provide it.

Store manager Dave Norman brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, having managed the Sweatshop store on the site for 13 years.  Dave has been a member of Altrincham & District AC since 1992, and won the Greater Manchester Marathon in 2012 and 2013. Ably assisted by Jonny Mellor, Sophie Whiteside and Andy Nixon, the advice you get will be top notch.

Don't be intimidated by the team, however, as the ultimate joy for all of them is seeing newbies drop in and become a part of the sport they love. They'll be sure to get you off on the right foot.

Jonny and Sophie also look after the Run North West portfolio of events which currently includes the Alderley Edge, Southport Seaside and Wilmslow 10Ks.

Check us out online or just drop in and have a chat with the team. They’ll be delighted to see you.

Great news and good luck. Bought my first pair of runners there back in 1982 prior the Bolton marathon. Jack Haslam sold me a pair of NB (which took me like 2hrs to buy ---he could "natter" ) When Ron had the shop i came to the RON training run after one of his birthdays on a sat morning--there were only a few of us and treated to tea and cakes in the shop. May took a pic. of us as we ran down the hill past Rons house. Happy days. Poor Jack died cos he loved his dog too much !!! All the best for Ron's 80th run at Cowm next month. super fellow. Tis Andy o'sullivans 35years race tommorow. EVERYBODY be there Ian
